TOROS COACHING STAFF

Head Coach & GENERAL MANAGER

STAN BEDWELL

Bedwell, a European Hall-of-Fame quarterback, amassed nearly 37,000 yards and 438 touchdowns during his playing career. His coaching journey spans high school, college, and professional leagues on three different continents. Bedwell brings the unique experience of coaching alongside and learning the passing game from both air-raid pioneer Hal Mumme and run-and-shoot specialist Manny Matsakis (head coach of the CoFL’s Ohio Valley Ironmen).

A long-time head coach in Europe, Bedwell achieved a remarkable 96-25 record and secured five national championships in ten seasons. As an offensive coordinator at the collegiate level in the United States, his teams have posted a 36-14 record, averaging well over 300 passing yards and 100 rushing yards per game. In 2021, Bedwell served as a player/coach for The Spring League's TSL Linemen, helping them win a championship while becoming the oldest player to account for a touchdown in alternative professional football history at age 37. He has also coached four seasons of high school football in California and Tennessee.

DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR

JERRY GLANVILLE

Glanville brings 20 years of NFL experience, most notably as the head coach of the Houston Oilers (1985-89) and Atlanta Falcons (1990-93).

His storied career also includes 10+ years at the collegiate level, including a head coaching at Portland State, and defensive coordinating at the University of Hawaii.

Coach Glanville is familiar with alternative football having been a defensive coordinator in the CFL and XFL, and head coach in The Spring League.

The Man in Black, also had a multiple year run on the NASCAR racing circuit, and Jerry Glanville's Pigskin Footbrawl video game was a hit on both arcade and consoles in the early 90's.

wide receivers

CHARLEY MOLNAR

Coach Charley Molnar brings more than 40 years of collegiate coaching experience to the San Antonio Toros, where he serves as the team’s Wide Receivers Coach. Known for his offensive expertise and ability to develop skill-position players, Molnar has coached at numerous Division I programs throughout his career.

Molnar has held key offensive roles at programs including Kent State, Indiana State, Central Michigan, and Cincinnati, where he helped guide one of the most successful stretches in program history. He later served as Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach at Notre Dame, helping lead the Irish to consecutive bowl appearances while overseeing the development of the passing game.

In 2012, Molnar became the Head Coach at the University of Massachusetts during the program’s transition to the FBS level. With decades of experience coaching quarterbacks and receivers, Molnar brings veteran leadership and a deep understanding of the passing game to the Toros coaching staff.
